MEDICATION

You may be prescribed some of the following medication.

  1. Paracetamol:
    Recommended to give every six (6) hours as directed. Maximum four (4) doses per day. For example, 6am., 12pm., 6pm. and 12am.
  2. Nurofen:
    Recommended to give every eight (8) hours as directed. Maximum three (3) doses per day. For example 9am, 3pm. and 9pm.
    NB: Paracetamol and Nurofen are to be alternated approximately every three
    (3) hours.
  3. Opiates:
    Oxynorm/Endone/Tramadol.
    Opiates may make you drowsy. Please discard when no longer required. Opiates may also make you constipated.

ANTIBIOTICS

  1. Orally:
    Given three or four (3 or 4) times a day as directed e.g. breakfast, lunch, dinner, before bed.
  2. Ear drops or ointment may be prescribed.

PREDNISOLONE

Given once a day (morning) as directed.

NASAL TREATMENT

Saline nasal douches (washes) and nasal moisturising spray twice a day for four (4) weeks.
